The number of particles of Buddha beads has feng shui considerations
Buddha beads, according to the shape can be divided into holding beads, wear beads, hanging beads three types; its texture is more numerous. However, no matter what type and material, the number of beads is very delicate.
The number of Buddha beads is 108, which is the basic number of beads. 108 beads means 108 kinds of troubles, or 108 merits of Buddha, or 108 kinds of infinite samadhi, and so on.
Different numbers of grains of Buddha beads have different meanings
According to Buddhist scriptures, the topmost grade of Buddha bead is 1080 grains, including 108 numbers of each of the ten Dharma realms. This kind of bead is too long and is only used by a very small number of great monks and spiritual practitioners, or by famous monks as decoration in great pujas, and is rarely used by anyone else.
